District Information

District Overview

The 81st District is one of the most beautiful and diverse House of Delegates districts in Virginia. It it home to 71,000 residents from the southeastern part of Virginia Beach and the south/southeastern part of Chesapeake, extending to the North Carolina border. The 81st District borders the Atlantic Ocean and the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge and has the best of both worlds when it comes to close-knit communities and farmland.

The district also includes four top-notch military bases: Oceana Naval Air Station, Dam Neck Fleet Combat Training Center, Naval Support Activity Norfolk - Northwest Annex, and Camp Pendleton State Military Reservation.

The 81st District has some great attractions for all ages (www.vbfun.com). Explore over 700,000 gallons of the best aquariums and live habitats at the Virginia Marine Science Museum (http://www.vmsm.com/) or just dive right in at the Ocean Breeze Waterpark (www.oceanbreezewaterpark.com). Relax at one of the many local campgrounds and spend some time exploring the beautiful Sandbridge beaches all the way down to False Cape State Park.
